Rhythm Wall

What is Rhythm Wall? Rhythm Wall is a wall which is specially designed according to different music genre. I have chosen Indie Pop as my inspiration of designing this wall. Indie Pop can be cheerful, fun, exciting but it can also be sad, depressed and feeling lost. The music usually start off with soft background music and whisper which is like a dark past that haunted you for so long or a secret that you have held it so tight in your heart and you are scared to let anyone know. You are afraid that anyone would judged you based on your past. So, you been keeping your head down living like you are not belong to this world. You feeling lost in this world, like you don't know what is the next step, where is the end and etc. Then, the beats of the music started off with the lyrics coming out more encouraging like asking you to follow your heart. A heart does what a heart does. Then, you would feel like a sparkle reignites, giving you hopes that keep motivating you to go on. You would slowly feel more and more confident and nothing to be afraid off. Then, you would feel like something inside you started to heal by fixing up pieces by pieces. The slogan I have chosen for this Rhythm Wall is "Close To Your Heart" which I think it works perfectly with the way the music want to express to everyone in this world.
As you can see, the front view of my Rhythm Wall are built up of different size of Pyramid which represents the repetition of the lyrics of Indie Pop music that keeps motivating people to be more confident and not afraid of the world. You may have a past or a secret but haunted you but the music will motivates you until you feel free from the past. The little debris beside the pyramid is the pieces that you pick up from the past. The Back View of my Rhythm Wall is very simple. It a a semi transparent hollow square size that represents the past or the secret you are afraid to let anyone know. Its represents that you isolated you yourself and shut your heart out scared that anyone would judged you based on your past.

Infographic Board

Times flies, and can’t believe that it’s semester 2 already. We were given a project related to music on the first week of Interior Design Project 1. We weren't able to choose our own group partner and the type of music we desire. To be fair, slots are  drawn by each one of us and I am honoured to be group with Doris, Ester, Wei Ning and Tian Chun. The types of music we gotten is CLASSIC POP. We were asked to do some research about the type of music we were given.
At first, we were clueless about what is classic pop and after days of research, there are still no information about classic pop to be found on the internet. We were able to come out with only little information about classic pop so we were kind of worried about it during our first discussion. However, we were able to come out a few great design of how we want our infographic board to be.
During our first tutorial with Miss Shar, we only discovered that we gotten the wrong concept of what classic pop is. We have mistaken the concept of Classic Pop with Classical Pop, but Miss Shar is kind enough to explain to us and give us some hints on how to start researching on our project. So we were asked to stay back at library and meet her at the end of tutorial for further research on our project. Luckily, we got it right at that time.
After that, we started to discuss on how we want put our ideas into create this infographic board. Well, We came back on Saturday and Sunday to start creating our infographic board so we can finish it earlier. We want our board to have some sorts of retro and classic kinda of feel so we make it into a retro radio. We have worked up our brains in the design parts as we want the knob of the radio can be turned and the channel of the radios can be changed. Luckily, I have a bunch of awesome group member who really sacrifices their weekend on squeezing our brain juices to make the whole projects work.
Below is the infographic board picture I taken after presentation.
