Photography

A captive of my own mind.
The instigator of my own thoughts.
The more I think, the worse it gets.
The less I think, the worse it gets.

I couldn't sleep.
I feel that I alone in this path.
I feel afraid in complete darkness.

It hurts, the pain.

No matter how much I resist,
it will always be there to haunt me in my dream.

I don't know what waiting for me in the future.

Small in this world.

Emotion of The Past

Let me tell you a story. An emotion of my past. Nothing fancy but it is something I would never forget.

After graduating from High School, without knowing the results of my SPM, I made a rush decision of taking A-level as I believed that it's my tambourine to get into the University of my choice. I was such a foolish kid who believed that A-level is going to be a easy course to study so I choose to finished my A-level in one year. I think that you could guess that I wasn't a hardworking kid during my time in A-level.

When everyone was sticking their face in the books and putting extra ram in their head, I had spent all my time roaming around the Beautiful Island - Prince of Wales. I can proudly say that I been to most of the cafés in Penang. The only thing that gets on my mind is to explore and maximize the use of my tastebuds.
While I choose to stay in my own bubbles, everything started to change. After my AS exam, I was informed that I failed every of my AS test paper. A bunch of my friends who used to be my gang of "Island Explorer" decided that they would drop off A-level and go back to further their studies in Sixth Form. During that time, I am still firm with my choice, so I told my friends that I would stay back and continue my studies.
Thats when things starting to get worse. After they left, I tried to put on my effort on my studies but I can't kept up as I had missed lots of classes. I have no idea what my lecture is teaching and I can't catch up with my homework. I am starting to lose my confident. I stopped my dream of exploring the island and focus on my studies. As what Chinese says, “平时不烧香、临时抱佛脚”, I still didn't managed to score during my second trial of exam even I paid effort on my second semester.
So, I decided to extend half more year, still in the dream that I will graduate my A-level in a marvelous results.
Needless to say, a Dream is still a Dream. I failed my A-level badly and I am devastated. I feel like I am standing on a cross junction undecided which way to go. I have lost track of my next step in my life but I am afraid to tell my parents my A-level results. So, I decided to keep it as a secret and lied to my parents that my results had not released. That's was one night, when I received a call from my favorite sister, Carine. She had found out that I lied to my parents about my results. She cried in the phone asking me, "为什么你要讲骗话?你知道我很心痛吗?我和你的父母这样的疼你,你的父母为了你辛辛苦苦的赚钱供你读书,你却不好好珍惜,我对你真的很失望。” That when I really got scared, she is my favorite cousin sister and she loves me unconditionally. I idolize her since I was little and she tells me that she is disappointed to me. My parents was informed of that news and they were disappointed towards me. My parents ignored me for one whole week and I was mad with my sister. I thought that if she didn't tell my parents everything would be different.
To be honest, I am thankful for what my sister did at that time. Even though I hate her for one whole week, and I wouldn't answer her call nor talk to her. She talks to my parents and they agreed to give me a chance again. My dad talked to me and he told me that he wasn't that disappointed of my results but he is more disappointing of me lying to him. I apologised to my parents and told them that I have a dream. A dream that haven't been achieved by me. So, I was given a chance with a promise of I will perk up my determination in studies and never ever lie to my parents again. I was enrolled into Monash University Foundation Year in Sunway College as that's the only choice I had during that time as all the intakes were closed. I met lots of friends who have the same background from me during MUFY. We all worked our ass off and finally I passed all my results with flying colours last year December.
It's been a long wait for me. Finally, I am now pursuing something I am more passion of - Interior Architecture. Everything seems to be back to its own tracks. Hopefully It will be a wonderful journey to me!
