Survival Pod Final Submission Review

Today I'm gonna talk a bit about my project which I had worked on for a few weeks which is called the Survival Pod Project. So, to start off the project. All of us are being brought to an exciting trip to the Roeda Island which is now known as the Redang. We are required to get inspire by the nature of the island and come off with some wonderful ideas how we are going to work on our survival pod project. It is an eye-opening trip as we went out to the sea and examined every single details of how wonderful of what the mother nature had created.
After we are back from Redang, we were paired into two in a group in order to complete the whole project although the project itself will be an individual attempt. The project are separated into two different phases.
Firstly, we were required to create a storyline on how we get to the particular island and how we going to have daily activities there by expressing it through an A2 size storyboard. Besides that, we were also required to design a survival devices such as weapons in order to keep us alive on the island. After we had created the storyline and weapons to be used on the island, we were asked to take a video to show the how the story on the island and how our weapons should be used.
After we are done with the first phase of the survival pod project, we were then required to design a survival pod for the single survivor that lives on the island. We are not allowed to design the survival pod for ourself but we have to design it based on our group partner. For example, The background of the survivor, the height , the weight and etc. Basically, that person needs to be profiled with details so we can only design that particular survival pod for that particular person. Other that that, we need to design the survival pod based on where it is located on the island and the issues that need to be identified or addressed. So, We are starting off by designing a creating a simple mock-up model to be marked by our appointed lecture to see whether our design fits the situation we had created in the story. After it is approved by our lecture, we were then have to built a bigger version model with the landscape of the surroundings. We will then present our final model with two A2 size presentation board which includes all the details of the pod such as layout plan, elevations, design developments and character's info of the survivor on the island.
We were then asked to pre-submit our project and presentation drawing for a brief check by our lectures so that they can comments on the progress of our project just in case we need some improvements on it before the final submission. Last but not least, We are given a day in advance to pin up our presentation board, our final survival pod project and our mock- up model in our assigned classroom for final review.
Before I show you some of the my work, let me briefly tell you the story of my survival pod.
The story goes from one of the summer in 2015, a girl called Seen Ying who feeling lassitude and exhaustion from studies so she decided to take a break and go on a holidays. She felt that a protracted sea voyage would be both agreeable and beneficial, so instead of going backpacking, she booked herself a ticket from Penang on the sailing vessel The Prince of Wales. During the sea journey, their ship got attacked by the most enormous octopus she had ever seen in her life. She feel a jagged pain on the her head and suddenly she lost her vision. The ship she was in got wrecked by the gigantic octopus and she was thrown into the water. She was then awaken on a shore on the next day. The waves had taken her here. As soon as she woke up, she realise that all the crew is dead. She stop rejoicing and search for the survivors. She was alone on this island called the The Fisherman's Island. She didn't know that whether people will search for her or she will be stranded there. So she decided to scout for a place to built herself a survival pod in order to live alone on the island and create some weapons to defend herself from and living creatures on the island.
Let me show you some of the video and picture taken through out the whole project.
